EXPERIENCE

Mr. Kerrane has extensive experience litigating complex business matters; employment and labor disputes; products liability cases; industrial injury accidents; and other general liability matters. Prior to joining ECG, Mr. Kerrane was a senior associate for a litigation firm in San Diego, primarily defending employers against both civil and administrative complaints. Mr. Kerrane has defended claims involving OSHA/CALOSHA violations; and has often appeared before the California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Labor and Standards Enforcement; Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH); and Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. Mr. Kerrane has also helped employers remain compliant with changes in state law by providing seminars to management regarding sexual harassment in the workplace pursuant to AB1825. Mr. Kerrane has represented local theme parks, energy and waste management companies, construction developers and contractors, and local golf courses.

EDUCATION

Mr. Kerrane received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with minors in Economics and Law & Society, from the University of California, San Diego, in 1993. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego, in 1998. While in law school, Mr. Kerrane was a finalist in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and was awarded “Best Brief” for the competition. Mr. Kerrane was also an executive board member of the Phi Delta Phi International Law Fraternity.

MEMBERSHIP, PUBLICATIONS, SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS AND PUBLIC SERVICE

Mr. Kerrane was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1998, and is a member of American Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, and San Diego County Bar Association. While still in law school, Mr. Kerrane authored an article entitled, “Parenting: Damages for Wrongful Pregnancy,” which was subsequently published in the Journal of Contemporary Legal Issues (2000).

Mr. Kerrane has been an active participant and fundraiser for the San Diego County Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Annual “MS Walk” for the past several years, and he now looks forward to also helping the Orange County Chapter.
